The theme of the event is “Night at SiTA”,  or as the staff affectionately calls it, “fantasy cocktail”. We hope that everyone thinks of the event’s theme while crafting their ensembles, but we understand that the unique aesthetics of each person is what helps to create such a diverse and fun atmosphere. 

The Night Out theme drops the attendees in a faraway place where weary travellers from all over take a well-deserved night out on the town. 

Each event has been set in a variety of enchanting venues ranging from the Huntsville Botanical Garden’s Nichols Arbor Venue for our “A Villainous Affair” event to the Westin’s ballroom for the “Eternal Spring” event and now to a “Night At SiTA” at the Speakeasy at Straight to Ale.

This will be an 21+ only event due the restrictions placed on the venue. There will be no exceptions made for persons under the age of 21 years old at this time. 

Additionally, prepare for your IDs to be checked before purchasing alcohol.

We request that all attendees come in “fantasy cocktail” attire or “fantasy traveller" – whether you plan on channeling your fae side, dressing in full cosplay, or embracing your inner prince or princess / pirate or mermaid, we can’t wait to see what creative ensemble you have conjured! Due to spacing, we do ask our friends with Wings to be mindful, as it might be difficult to navigate the space without bumping into other travellers.  

All guest outfits range from elaborate to simply inspired outfits. It is completely up to your comfort level. We embrace all travellers, and are honored by the appearance of all fae beings – light, colorful, or dark.

We want to create a safe and fun environment for all attendees, so please adhere to the following guidelines:

• Real weaponry is NOT allowed on the premises. Any real weapons will be asked to be returned to your mode of transportation. 

• Any props brought to the event must be non-functional and non-threatening. Items like swords, wands, or other accessories should be made of lightweight, non-metal materials.

• For bags, we ask that you do not bring any bags larger than 12” x 6” x 12”. Keep in mind that bags larger than this are subject to search or may be asked to be returned to your mode of transportation. 

Additionally, we are not responsible for any lost or stolen property while you attend this event and there is no designated area to store your property and no assigned seating — so think small and easy to carry!

*As a reminder High Court Ball is not responsible for any damage or misplacing of personal equipment, so plan accordingly.

Overall, we do not have strict restrictions on attendees bringing their own camera and documenting the night, as long as it is respectful to the other attendees.

Please see our baggage policy for restrictions on camera bag size and try to avoid bringing an exorbitant amount of equipment.

We will have a photographer at the event to capture some candids, but there is no guarantee that they will get a picture of you. So be sure to utilize our selfie stations!

Absolutely! 

Night at SiTA is meant to be a welcoming and inclusive event for all attendees. There are plenty of ways to socialize with other like-minded individuals at the event, so this event can either be enjoyed solo or with your friends!

At this time we are not facilitating transfers, but once the event is sold out there will be an option within TicketTailor to join a waitlist and potentially transfer tickets if needed. We will keep everyone posted on our social medias and on the ticket page.

There are no refunds for tickets or add-on items purchased. All add-on items must be picked up at the event unless arrangements have been made prior to the event.

The night will be filled with a variety of fun activities: 

• An intimate and themed setting at the Speakeasy at Straight to Ale

• Live music from a talented local band and a brief theatrical performance

• Jazz and some modern style dancing

• Interactive Event and Sponsor Activities

• Multiple photo stations around the venue

• Community with fellow book and fantasy lovers

The SiTA Kitchen aka Straight To Ale’s Kitchen will have a limited themed menu available for purchase until 9pm or until sold out!

You are also welcome to have a nice dinner at your own castle prior to arrival or feel free to visit one of the many dining options available within Campus 805.

All attendees will have a dessert to enjoy, but please don’t come hungry. We would hate it if you fainted on the dance floor!

There are many hotel options within a very close vicinity of the event. If you want to stay near the event, here is a link to the hotels closest to the event location. 

The Speakeasy offers a full service bar and restaurant that will have non-alcoholic tea, water, soda options, and simple mocktails available for purchase.

Due to the venue’s limited space and the intimate setting of the event, we will not have vendors at this event. This is subject to change due to spacing availability and weather.

Yes! The event will be held indoors at the Speakeasy at Straight to Ale within Campus 805.  The space is enclosed and is fully equipped with A/C throughout.
